Liverpool Ladies first team got off to a cracking start. Fielding a number of new faces Liverpool breezed passed the opening day opposition. Liverpool won the first match 6-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers with Kelly Jones scoring the first four goals and Nat Sage and Katie Brusell chipping in with one each. In the second game they beat Manchester City 3-0 with 'Fozzy' scoring 2 and Kelly adding another to her impressive day one total.
The reserves were also on form, winning both of their games, In the first they beat Whitley Bay 2-1. The goals came from Charlotte Roxburgh and Sophie Jones. In their second game they beat Wigan Athletic 1-0 with a good goal from Amie Flemming wrapping up the points.
